BATIK is an Indonesian art form. The word means "wax writing". A design is applied to
white cloth using a tjanting tool or brush and melted wax. The cloth is then vat dyed. This
process is repeated for each additional color. The wax resists the dye and is then removed,
resulting in the unique, crackled style of batik.

Geno and Sheilah work together to create batik designs on custom made cotton clothing using
this traditional method of batik.
